Course Outline

This is an interactive course involving lectures, case reviews, panel discussion and hands on cadaveric workshops, based in a small group environment. The maximum ratio for cadaveric workshops will be 4:1.

Multiple standard & alternative exposures of the shoulder, elbow & forearm plus specialised techniques in upper limb fracture management will be covered.

This course will include presentations and cadaver sessions & is designed for Set 4-5 and Consultants. This course has been accredited by the AOA for 13 CPD points.

Assumed Knowledge

Basic fracture management techniques and principles including:
i. IM Nail
ii. Plating
iii. Soft tissue management
iv. Upper limb anatomy and standard approaches

Course Pre-requisites

i. Attendees should have passed OPBS
ii. Course is designed for Set 3-5 and consultants and priority registration will be given to these applicants.
