OTC South Pacific

OTC South Pacific is a non-profit organisation committed to the education of orthopaedic registrars & junior consultants. The focus is on trauma education for registrars, and the purpose is:-

To advance the science and art of musculoskeletal treatment in the South Pacific through the conduct, sponsorship and support of research, education and training.

OTC courses complement the SET training program from junior through to senior registrars and newly qualified consultants. Specifically, OTC South Pacific concentrates on delivering high quality interactive courses involving anatomical specimens and a low student to instructor ratio of 4:1 or less. These courses offer delegates valuable hands-on practical experience in surgical approaches.

The OTC South Pacific Management Committee would like to say farewell and thank-you to Dr Ian Young who has stepped down from being a Committee Member at the last AGM. Ian has been a highly valued Committee member at OTC for around 12 years and during that time has held a variety of roles including Treasurer, Director of Education and Vice President. We thank Ian for his many years of service and input to the organisation.

OTC South Pacific would like to warmly welcome & congratulate the newest member of the Management Committee - Dr Joseph Isaacs, who joins as Treasurer. Dr Isaacs is a Hip & Knee Orthopaedic Surgeon who is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Sydney and Director of Orthopaedic Training at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, NSW.
