Global OTC Foundation & OTC South Pacific
The Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care (OTC) Foundation was established in 2007 as an international non-profit organization based in Switzerland. The Mission is to advance osteosynthesis and trauma care through education and research. The OTC Foundation offers courses, fellowships and grants for a worldwide membership of Health Care Professionals.
OTC Foundation is committed to intellectual independence, evidence-based medicine and the debate of scientific principles. We leverage human and financial resources to drive innovation and supporting the development of the next generation of Health Care Professionals.
OTC South Pacific
OTC South Pacific (formerly AIOD South Pacific) was established in 2005 and later became the local chapter of OTC Foundation. OTCSP operates as a non-profit organisation. The purpose of OTC South Pacific is to advance the science and art of musculoskeletal treatment in Australia and New Zealand through the conduct, sponsorship and support of research, education and training.

Focus on Trauma
As part of our commitment to fostering best practice in trauma care, OTC South Pacific is delighted to be in an ongoing partnership with AORA. OTC South Pacific is proud to be the sponsor of a prize for the best trauma research paper presented at the AORA Annual Conference.
OTC South Pacific focuses on delivering high quality educational courses. These courses have been developed into a comprehensive certified pathway to complement and enhance the SET program training from junior through to senior registrars and newly qualified consultants. Specifically, OTC South Pacific concentrates on delivering interactive courses involving anatomical specimens and a low student to instructor ratio of 4:1 or less. These courses offer delegates valuable hands-on practical experience in surgical approaches.
OTC Management Committee
OTC is run by a Management Committee of 5 orthopaedic surgeons from across Australia, elected by members at the AGM & supported by an Executive Officer.
